A Message from Hannah
“Over the past two years—as Principal and most recently as Acting Head of School—I’ve had the privilege of working alongside the remarkable students, families, staff, and supporters who make up this community. These roles have given me a front-row seat to what makes St. Andrew’s so special: our belief that every child deserves to be known, loved, and guided to grow into the fullest version of themselves.
St. Andrew’s is a school that sees and celebrates the students we serve. And we walk with them through every step of their journey. The warmth and authenticity that you feel when you walk onto our campus is real, and it’s intentional. I’ve witnessed it daily: in the kindergartener who once struggled to enter the building and now runs in joyfully; in the third grader who once resisted reading and now proudly holds me to my promise to join their reading group; in the parent who finally feels that their child is seen, safe, and celebrated.
Leading St. Andrew’s is both a great honor and a profound responsibility. Our bold, tuition-free model is one of our greatest joys—and also one of our most courageous commitments. It is made possible by a community that believes, as I do, that brilliance lives in every child and the importance of access to a joyful, high-quality education.
As I officially step into this role, I do so with deep respect for where we’ve been and great hope for where we’re going. I’m excited to build on our shared work—strengthening academic programs, investing in our people, and continuing to center our values in every decision we make.
Thank you for welcoming me, challenging me, and believing in this vision. I am honored to serve as your Head of School, and I can’t wait to continue writing this story—our story—together.”
With love and gratitude,
Hannah Barr, Head of School
