About Us

St. Andrew's believes that children learn more deeply when they make connections through hands-on experiences and student-led questioning. This is the cornerstone of our programming.

St. Andrew’s School is an independent, K-5 elementary school located in Richmond’s Oregon Hill neighborhood. Local philanthropist Grace Arents founded the school in 1894. There are 16 students per grade (96 students).

St. Andrew's School provides whole child programming that includes six fundamentals: Academics, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Visual and Performing Arts, Family Engagement, Wellness and Nutrition, and Admissions and Graduate Support.
