Recently, we sat down with alumnae Janiya and Janaye Reavis, who graduated from St. Andrew’s School in 2017.
The sisters are sophomores at Cristo Rey High School, and shared their memories of St. Andrew’s with us. They shared that, although they didn’t know anyone when they arrived as fifth graders, they still keep in touch with many of the friends they made at St. Andrew’s.
“We left feeling like a little family,” says Janaye.
Janiya’s favorite memory of her time at St. Andrew’s is of playing violin at graduation. Now, Janiya is a basketball manager, and Janaye plays basketball. Both sisters are interested in pursuing nursing after school. When asked how their friends would describe them, Janiya said “funny, nice, and passionate”, and Janaye said “funny, charismatic, and compassionate.”
Janiya says, “St. Andrew’s put me on a path to be a better student.”
